Dr. Damien Williams awarded Mellon Foundation grant

Dr. Damien Williams, co-appointed at UNC Charlotte in Philosophy and Data Science, was just awarded a $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation to support the creation of a Disability Community Technology Center that provides guidance for developing disabled-led technology and disability-forward technological futures through humanities-based scholarship and arts outreach. He is collaborating on this grant project with Dr. Ashley Shew of Virginia Tech.
