Alumni

Alumni of the MA program in Ethics and Applied Philosophy have pursued a variety of careers. Since 2015, about a third of our alumni have applied to PhD programs, with a success rate of approximately 60%. Since 2015, only 3 out of 21 students have left UNC Charlotte before finishing, in one case to attend a PhD program in Philosophy. Since 2004, 40% of our alumni have been women or gender non-conforming.

The table below lists either the initial graduate placement or the current employment of select alumni. Employment details are current as of 2018 and will be updated as new information becomes available. Where indicated, students earned the Graduate Certificate rather than the MA.
