Rasmussen PI of New NSF Grant to Promote Ethical Authorship Practices

Categories: General News Tags: News

A $580,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant recently has been awarded to Dr. Lisa Rasmussen to research whether institutional policies and infrastructure can promote ethical practices regarding authorship and improve perceptions of research culture and climate across different STEM disciplines. Positive perceptions of culture and climate are correlated with a lower likelihood of engaging in detrimental research practices. The grant’s intervention in the culture of authorship ethics should help improve perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors regarding authorship and foster a culture of research integrity. The philosophy department congratulates Dr. Rasmussen on her fourth NSF grant!
