The department is offering a new study abroad opportunity, PHIL 3390/5050: What is the Life Worth Living? Ancient Ethics in Athens, which goes to Greece for eight days in the summer semester (May 12-21, 2019). The bulk of the course takes place in Athens, with day trips to the mountains of Delphi and the Greek Island of Hydra, where you and other students will answer for yourselves the questions that consumed Ancient Greek ethicists and still consume today’s positive psychologists: What is the life worth living? What is a truly excellent, remarkable human life? The application deadline is February 1, 2019. For more information, see https://philosophy.charlotte.edu/about-us/study-abroad.
